The Wedding Has Taken Over...aka why we needed a vacation.
This may possibly be my first "wedding" post. Don't get me wrong, I couldn't be much happier about getting married to the love of my life, but this constant feeling like I need to please everyone and their dogs is bothersome. Maybe bridezillas are born from trying to please everyone for so long that they just can't stand it any more and go bat poop crazy. Just a theory.
P'jones and I started shopping for the wedding. It was an accident, but a good one. We went out to find a table cloth at Bed, Bath, and Beyond and came back with said table cloth, two packs of paper napkins (to compare softness), two boxes of "Stonehenge" glasses (58 glasses), sundae dishes, a 10 piece serving set and a sleeve of turtles. We found the wedding season return section and nearly bought cloth napkins, wine glasses, and more serving dishes. We had coupons, lots and lots of coupons and split the order in two, and paid $45 for over $100 worth of wonderfulness. I should have taken a picture of the cart since it was overflowing with fun, but every once in a while, I act like an adult. I know, shocking.
Out counters were covered with glasses. Guests at the wedding will love drinking from these lovely gems we found in the return pile. No worries we are ordering 3 more boxes.
BOGO at Publix (and two coupons) resulted in 24 twelve packs for the wedding including 4 free 12 packs of ginger ale. I love coupons.
My wonderful sisters and mom came over to motivate me to get invitations out and I set up a table the way I would like them to be at the reception. Sneak peek.
Invitation assembly with Karen and mom after Sarah helped print the various invitation parts. My family is the best! The guest room is now Wedding Central Station. And bachelor party central- I'm working on putting the final touches on part of p'jones' costume for DragonCon. I'll post once it's complete.
And that is wedding explosion all over the place. Supplies for the reception under the table, possible table decor on the bed... don't get me started with what's on the table and on the cork board and the file box.
