They're open for another 20 minutes....

I wonder what my Friday nights will look like 10 years from now. I found some of my CDs from college today and rocked out to all kinds of fun and remembered what weekends used to be like. Wow how things have changed.

As another work week came to an end, I celebrated in the best way I know how to: a nap and coupons! Well I don't think I technically fell asleep, but I was supposed to. Next thing you know, it's 9:40 and I discover one of my Publix coupons expires Friday night!! For those of you who don't know, Publix closes at 10. Enter memories from Supermarket Sweep. I can do this. And I did!

Here's a run down:

Welch's Essentials Juice $6.20 BOGO less two $0.75 coupons = $1.60/.80 each or 75% savings

King Hawaiian Rolls: $6.20 Less $1 store coupon Less $1 man coupon = $4.20 or 40% savings

 Manwhich $1.19 less FREE coupon on both with purchase of KH rolls = FREE 100% savings

Rozoni Pasta Portions: $1.50 BOGO less $.50 doubled coupon = $.50/2= .25  or 83% savings

Wiskas Temptation cat treats= $1.50 less $.50 doubled coupon = $.50 or 66% savings

The Publix next to the house didn't have a couple of items, so Paul and I took a field trip to another Publix today. Enter additional savings!

Nivea Shaving Gel: $3.00 eaach less 25% off less $3 on two coupon =$0.75 each or 75% savings

Bailey's Creamer: $3.00 each BOGO less $1.00 on 2 = $1.00 each or 67% savings

Buitoni Linguini: $2.29 BOGO less $1.00 coupon = $0.29 or 87% savings

Things I learned from this experience:
1. Refridgerated pasta stays good for 3 months!!! I always assumed it needed to be eaten pronto.
2. Baileys makes creamer!!! They clearly write "NON ALCOHOLIC" on it. Boo, I guess it went to AA.
3. I told Paul we would never get his shave gel on sale a while back. I kinda hated that he has his special face stuff to keep him looking 12. Then presto, I watched a 20 second video and saved $6. Not only that, I don't have to buy him any more for a while. Score points for me!
4. Manwhich is nasty, but the love of my life likes it. So, I shall acquired his two can allotment for life. He needs someone to eat that with.
5. I could have paid nothing for the cat treats. I shall acquire coupons from my mama and try this again.
6. I love my hobby. I spent less than $14 and had a grand time. Plus Paul's in the kitchen cooking and saying he loves this 29 cent pasta. Paired with the Publix 1 cent item of Alfredo sauce and some grilled chicken and garlic bread makes for a great dinner... nom nom.
