The last day of the month means a couple things. One of those things is: COUPONS EXPIRE. Logically, this means I'm going Krogering! The original list was this: dog food, pasta (8 boxes), toothpaste (3 tubes), toothbush and chips. I didn't buy the chips because apparently Georgia charges extra for chips they were a different price than I anticipated. Instead, I bought a turtle pie, Dove Ice Cream Bars, pizza, and thanks to P'jones' conversation with the porcelain god Gatorade. Highlights: FREE toothpaste (3 tubes) and FREE toothbrush (1). Pasta for 50 cents and turtle pie for $4.24. Total Savings: $34.59 (56%)
After dinner (and our monthly FREE Godiva piece: a hazelnut truffle), p'jones and I ran to Publix for Nature Valley Protein Granola Barswithout the delicious combination of chocolate and peanut butter that Paul dislikes more than Layla dislikes having her temperature taken and mascara. Guess what? We came out with 4 boxes of granola bars and 2 tubes of mascara for $7.59. What, what! So if you want to be technical, it was $14.06, but I used the remainder of my giftcard to bring that bad boy down. Each box of granola bars was $1 instead of $2.89 and the mascara was $4.49 instead of $8. Total Savings: $21.45 (73%)

* I went to Michaels with Mom and saved 56% ($3.61),
* Chick-fil-A coupon of the month: FREE large fries $1.85
* Bed Bath and Beyond Works: used a coupon and giftcard to buy a pool float for p'jones ($19.06),
* Coupon for dinner at Folks ($3.17)
* Kohl's: bought a nice Chaps dress shirt for p'jones at Kohls for $10.39 (saved $39.70)
* Last but not least, Layla saved us money on her staples by her vet being on the ER's "good list" ($14.67)

No. The poor guy got sick at home. Talk about fun. Layla was high as a kite on pain meds and kept barking and growling if the toilet flushed or pjones moved. I'm pretty sure she thought aliens had invaded our house, but she wouldn't get up to go check it out. She wad uber clingy that night.
