Summer Lovin' (Volunteering with MUST Ministry @ MUMC)

During the school year, there are countless kids who take part in the free lunch program at school. What happens to those kids during the Summer? Hopefully they receive some of the lunches that various groups (churches and business alike) throughout the state make. MUMC makes 150 sack lunches every Sunday for Gwinnett County. It's a small dent, but we are able to make a difference for 150 kids each week. Small way of showing love to each other.

The "young-ins" are in charge of putting a juice box, something salty, and something sweet in each bag.

The grown-ups make peanut butter and jelly (yes-we prepmix the PBJ to save time) sandwiches and bag 'em. Paul and I have been able to get to know some members of our church family a lot better by spending some time smothering bread in this sticky mix. As an added bonus: it's always fun to find PBJ stuck on your arm later in the day.
