Quick Publix Run

I donated 8 of my boxes of pasta, a couple bags of pasta and my rice to the Co-op yesterday, which logically means, I can buy more! Publix put the Barilla family on sale and I had coupons. Th pasta sauce retails for $2.59, was BOGO and I had 75 cent coupons, making them 55 cents each or 78% savings. The whole grain pasta retails for $1.23, they were BOGO and I had 55 cent coupons, making them 7 cents! One box of pasta and one can of sauce makes at least 3 meals for us. 20 cents per meal ROCKS!!!! I have now incorporated pasta night into the weekly dinner calendar. Paired with garlic bread and spinach salad, it is a great dinner deal!

I miss the old Herbal Essance scents. I can't justify paying an arm and a leg for their shampoo (my hair didn't love it, just my nose), but when I saw coupons for their body wash (is this new??) I cut out the coupons. THEN the Publix folks put is on sale. Retail for $3.19, SALE, less $1.00 coupon = $1.50 Now I can take a shower in the elevator like they did in the old commercials.

The Nature Valley Soft Baked Oatmeal bars retail for $2.89, were BOGO and I had $1.00 coupons, making them 99 cents! 66% savings and they taste like cookies without having to do dishes. 17 cents for each bar, yes please. The last things was the beef and broccoli. We were hungry, it was marked down $2 and I had $1 coupon, making it $4.99. Another inexpensive dinner.

Spent $12.69. Saved $18.27 or 60%.
