What we need...

Today's excitement was brought to us by the number 0. Or pretty to close to zero. Kroger is having a 4 day sale and a great 10 for $10 sale right now. In my effort to entertain myself replenish our frozen veggie supply,  I made the executive decision to start a Kroger shopping list. I was impressed with my list. However, shopping buddy decided we needed "real" food once more on this trip, and I nearly died at checkout. Yes, I added in frozen chicken cordon blue (a dollar folks. You can't beat that), but whoa. Do we seriously need cheese, lettuce, an onion, and meat?

No. What we need are Nerf guns. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, Kroger has Nerf N-Strike Glow-in-the-dark Semi-auto blasting guns and Nerf N-Stike Elite Retaliator on clearance for $12.50. Paul and I spent a good five minutes playing with the boxes and trying to decide which weapon was the best. We even had the self checkout cashier in on the debate before I put mine down and declared we'd have to save enough with coupons to be able to buy it. Top secretly, I wish I had stashed two of them on the bottom of the cart so I wouldn't have forgotten to go back and buy one. I just looked online and they're selling for $25. For the record, the Retalitor would have won. 4 blasters in 1 vs. glowing darts? Come on guys, the glowing darts would have given away my hiding place in the imaginary Nerf gun fight I just envisioned in my mind.

I digress. We went shopping with the goal to get as many items under $1 as I could, but before we got there, we stopped in at Race Trac to use a coupon for a free cup of coffee and a Krispy Kreame donut. Thank you for practically being in my backyard Race Trac!
